It all averages out.  DMV was an experience, and in my good fortune I got a good rep.  Unfortunately a form was missing as well as a small section to be filled out on the old title.  Bummer, but I know it’ll all flow smooth tomorrow when I go back, and not all up in a bunch.

The brake lines came in today, and they look great.  I’m still going to hold off on the brakes for a bit.  I’m thinking about painting the calipers when I have them off for the rebuild.  They look a bit knarly as they are, a sort of flat mottled grey.  What’s got me hung up is the color.  I’m leaning toward red, with black in a close second.  Black matches the overall trim, but is very subdued.  Red doesn’t match, but it makes a statement.  But that’s a ways off right now.

I’m a bit anxious about pulling the injector and rail assembly.  Took a hard look at the fittings, and all the clamps are worm drive, and I can’t loosen them in the car.  So, I’ll have to pull a bank of injectors, elbows and fuel rail, all at the same time.  No way around it.  The first thing I’ll do is get one injector off, put it back in the engine, then the second.  Then move to the second bank.  The passenger side is going to be harder, the vaccuum regulator will need to be removed to get to the injectors.  I’ll get the fuel lines done pretty quick once I get the elbows.

I forgot to mention that on Sunday I swapped out the old speakers with new 4×6′s.  Sounds great.  Still looking for a 90 degree audio adapter for the GPS.  Guess I’ll try raggedy shack.

FYI I painted the 911′s red. It makes em stand out beautifully just make sure you use a high temp engine paint. Powder coating would be ideal and if your in the market I have a buddy who runs the powdercoating dept at Marco Lamp Supply who could do it.
